With over 35 years of experience Dr. Leonid Kashchenevsky, founder of ELKA Precision, has lead the industry in the design and advancement of hydrostatic grinding products. Originally from Lithuania, and after earning a PhD in the Soviet Union, Dr. Kashchenevsky immigrated to the United States and continues his innovative research and development of high-speed, ultra-precise hydrostatic spindles, linear slides and spin-tables.

Throughout his career, Dr. Kashchenevsky has written and published many papers on hydrostatic engineering and grinding topics. These papers include:
